PEDAGOGIC ACTIVITIES
A museum is usually considered as a serious institution, which keeps old items and is dedicated to studies of history covered with dust. This sounds tedious and annoying to today's youth, used to television and computers. But a visit to a museum can be an amusing and informative travel through centuries during which original and interesting old items relate their own stories. In order to turn the museum into a place in which discovering of the history becomes interesting and relaxed, creative and entertaining, the Regional Museum Ptuj and its pedagogic staff create various activities for visitors of all ages. Special attention is given to school children who represent the most important group of museum's visitors. They can participate in numerous programmes related to individual collections at the castle especially designed for them.
